We were all invited to attend an extern conference that began with a discussion about preventing the spread of Mers. Thailand just confirmed its first case in Bangkok and we are taking a flight from there to Phuket today. Apparently, wearing masks can keep people from getting sick so we took some from the OR for our flights.
Afterwards, there was a presentation about medication reconciliation, which is managing a patient's medicine from the time they arrive in the hospital, throughout treatment, and until they are discharged. This is incredibly important for positive medical outcomes for patients and the King Narai hospital is attempting to put better monitoring practices in place. We saw P'Mui and P'Bow again and took pictures of course!
The conference was on the sixth floor of the outpatient department and the view was gorgeous.
We took the Mers warnings seriously on the bus ride to Bangkok.
Milly and I ate dinner at a noodle restaurant and bought fruit for the plane ride. There's a Krispy Kreme, KFC, Subway, and Starbucks in this airport and it was hilarious seeing everyone walk around with dozens of donuts each.
