Milly and I woke up at 5am so we could walk to a nearby beach for the sunrise at 6:10. We brought taro and raisin bread from 7/11 to eat on the beach. Unfortunately, due to the cloud cover, we weren't able to see the sun, but we still got some awesome pictures.
Afterwards, we walked along the beach to Bangla road in search of a cafe that was open early and had wifi. I've been trying to download the kindle app and Milly has been trying to call her mom and Kerry. We walked for a while past closed shops and realized that most places are not open before 7. On the way, Milly spotted seahorse sculptures so I got to take pictures with statues of my favorite animals.
After finding out that Starbucks has no wifi here, we went to a nearby MacDonalds. Milly was able to call Kerry and I can now read Paper Towns on Kindle!
We walked around after our 45 minutes of free wifi expired but everything was still closed.
We found a cute plaza with a food court and shops that didn't open until 11 but had a lot of props to take photos with.
After our mini photo shoot, we arrived back at the mall. We got fruit smoothies- lychee for Milly and strawberry for me.
We went back to the food court for lunch. Surprise, we ordered Pad Thai and mango sticky rice again.
After lunch, we went on a quest to find a sarong to double as a beach blanket. We ended up going back to the mall and Milly did some shopping.
We went back to the beach and read and I took a nap. We watched tons of parasailers and jet skis as well.
We got banana and coconut pancakes again for dinner and watched a cloudy sunset that was still gorgeous.
