Orientation Day 2

Second day at orientation we didn't wake up quite as early. I was able to FaceTime my family and Milly got to talk to Kerry.
We had a "traditional Thai breakfast" of toast with cream cheese, French toast, mashed potatoes and dragon fruit.
We had another Thai lesson and hopefully we'll be prepared to go to our home stays tomorrow.
Even though everyone has iPhones and iPads there are no stoves or ovens. All the cooking is done on camp stoves.
For lunch, we had corn, noodles, watermelon, coconut corn, spring rolls, garlic chicken, and papaya salad.
After lunch, we had our last Thai lesson. This is our last full day as a complete group, so we're trying to book flights to Chiang Mai and Phuket for the weekends.
We also had homemade Thai iced tea.
We did chi gong and practiced giving face/ head massages to each other to relieve headaches and backaches. We then learned about our host families and where we will be going tomorrow.
I have two host moms and will be staying with Brooke in our own little house. P'Dow is the head nurse of the panahraimaharad hospital in Lopburi and is in charge of the neonatal unit. I'm very excited to meet my host family tomorrow!

Milly and I got Thai massages along with most of the other volunteers. It felt a lot like stretching and pressure points. Everyone here is very in tune with the environment and natural remedies to cure any aches and pains, both physical and mental.
